HR20-E’s steering system iterates on 19E through an improved steering ratio, higher component structural margins (based on failed components on 18C), and optimized driver interface. Designed with robustness and driver ease of use in mind.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Bevel box used to transmit steering torque 90º down to rack and pinion
- Rack and Pinion (gears utilize 1144 steel heat treated to 90 ksi)
- Parallel steering rod geometry configuration, 32º steer angle at wheels
- Designed for maximum driver input force of 18 lbF (during 1g cornering)
